Periactin is an antipyretic and antiallergic agent characterized by sedative and anticholinergic properties. Periactin is used to treat chronic and acute allergic and pruritic conditions in adults and children aged above 2 years.

- pruritus caused by chickenpox;
- serum sickness;
- skin reactions to insect bites;
- vasomotor rhinitis.
Besides, Periactin is effective in treatment of allergic reactions, the drug may reduce vascular headaches. Therefore, it can be used to treat cluster and migraine headache.
Missed Dose
If you forgot to take your dose of Periactin, take it immediately as you remember. If it is almost time for the next prescribed Periactin dose, just skip the missed tablet and do not double the next dose of this antihistamine agent.
More Information
For the treatment of potentially life-threatening allergic reactions, Periactin can be indicated with Adrenalin and other life support measures. If anaphylaxis is caused by individual hypersensitivity to Periactin, the application of the anti-allergic, anti-pruritic agent should be ceased.
